How to install PQR
To ensure a correct installation, any previous versions of PQR should be uninstalled before installing version 5.0. Click on the link below and follow the installation wizard to install PQR onto your computer hard disk. PQR 5.0 runs under Microsoft Windows (XP, Vista, Seven). Normally, the installation of PQR should be very easy but if you have difficulties, please contact first your IT administrator to check that you have the right to install new software on your computer; if other types of difficulties are encountered contact the EPPO Secretariat: pqr@eppo.int
INSTALLATION STEP BY STEP
1) Click here: http://newpqr.eppo.org/download.php

2) Download PQR and the pictures of pests and diseases
Pictures are included in a separate file because of their size. You can download the pictures just after having installed the PQR database (the same type of Wizard will guide you) or you can do this later (you simply have to return to the general download address whenever necessary http://newpqr.eppo.org/download.php).
3) Follow the installation Wizard
Click 'Next'
Choose the destination folder of PQR - you are recommended to use the folder that is automatically suggested by the Wizard. Click Install to start the installation.
Click the 'Finish' button - this will launch PQR and add a shortcut on your computer desktop 
4) You can now start searching PQR
5) If you wish you can also download the pictures, following the same type of procedure
Click 'Next' | Choose the destination folder (preferably use the one that is proposed by default - if you have chosen another folder for PQR data (see under point 3), you must choose the same one for the pictures) | Click 'Finish' |
You can now view all the pictures that are included in PQR.
AUTOMATIC UPDATES OF PQR
Automatic updates are set by defaut within PQR. This means that whenever an update of the database has been made (software or data), a text box offering an automatic update will appear when launching PQR. If you want to upgrade the system, click Yes (if not, the upgrade can be done later whenever appropriate).
However, this function of automatic update can be disabled. Click on the Settings button (top bar of PQR) and in the options panel untick the box 'Automatic update', finally save and close.
